IMPORTANT! It was not working for me while plugged into my PC. I unplugged the printer (hl-1210w) from the PC & powerpoint then plugged only the power cable back in & it worked.

I replaced my depleted toner with a new generic toner found it didn't work, as if my printer was rejecting the new toner. I then stumbled onto your channel. I then swopped the chip in my new toner with the chip from my old toner. It worked! Thank you, much appreciated.

For the correct position, pull the gear out just enough for it to turn anticlockwise but maintain contact with the body so you can feel when it is clear to push back in. Requires about 1/2 turn. Easy once you've tried it.

This is helpful. I bought new cartridge. After refilling without resetting gear, I used it to print and copy documents. But automatically stopped and displayed "replace toner cartridge". What do i do please. And there is no reset gear in our locale.

Servira el procedimiento de reset sin el engranaje en la hl-1112?, con la impresora apagada mantener presionado el boton de encendido y cuando las dos luces se enciendan abrir la tapa y sacar el tambor; soltar boton , volver a colocar el tambor y cerrar la tapa; presionar dos veces el boton de encendido, esperar unos segundos, presionar 6 veces el boton.

Nos quedamos igual porque no se ve la posición del engrane y no indicas que hay que adquirirlo
